February Weekend Workshops
2/7 & 2/8: Friendship Bracelets: Makers will design and create friendship bracelets using knotting, color, and repeating patterns. This strengthens fine motor skills and introduces mathematical thinking through sequencing, pattern recognition, and creative problem-solving.
2/14 & 2/15: LOVE is in the air as we make Paper Heart Creations: Makers will cut, fold, layer, and assemble paper to create heart-inspired designs for loved ones or themselves while exploring shapes, symmetry, and structure. This activity blends art and engineering as children experiment with balance, form, and creative expression. + Special Valentines Day Activities!
2/21 & 2/22: Self-Portraits: Makers will explore identity and observation by creating self-portraits using a variety of materials and techniques. This workshop encourages visual analysis, creative decision-making, and artistic expression while connecting art to love for themselves!
2/28 & 3/1: Picture Frames: Makers will design and build a decorative picture frame while considering structure, stability, and aesthetics. Children explore basic engineering concepts, measurement, and design choices to create a functional piece of art.
Special STEAM Experiences – February
Making Shadow Puppets & Exploring Shadows: Create puppets and explore how light, distance, and movement change shadows through hands-on play and experimentation.
Tape Art & Creative Design: Use colored tape to decorate the Clubhouse's walls with your creations.
Magnets & the Law of Attraction: Explore attraction, repulsion, and invisible forces through experimenting with magnetic experiments & moving them through challenging mazes--- a playful Valentine’s Day reminder that not all forces can be seen.
Activities rotate throughout the month and are offered alongside open-ended making.
Groups with 5 or more children,
please register for Saturdays & Sundays
(24 hours in advance).
Walk-ins otherwise, welcome.
Available EVERY DAY
Cardboard Construction: Design, build, and invent using cardboard, child-friendly tools, fasteners, and our Chompsaw. Makers can follow an idea or create something entirely their own.
Creative Making & Art: Explore a wide variety of art and craft materials to draw, design, paint, cut, build, and create freely. Building & Construction: Build structures and designs using a variety of building materials, including LEGO®, while exploring balance, stability, and problem-solving.
Marble Mazes & Engineering Challenges: Design pathways and test motion, gravity, and problem-solving as marbles twist and turn through custom-built mazes.
STEM Kits & Exploration: Hands-on kits and materials that invite curiosity, experimentation, and discovery across science, technology, engineering, and math concepts.
Makers choose what to explore and how long to spend at each station, with support and encouragement from our Clubhouse Crew.
